Description of test method for aflatoxin

Extraction solvent (84+16 acetonitrile + water) is spiked with standard to a final concentration of 10ng/mL.

Description of test method for zearalenone

Extraction solvent (84+16 acetonitrile + water) is spiked with standard to a final concentration of 250ng/mL.

Certified values and their uncertainties:

Columns were analyzed according to the above referenced method and the following criteria were met:

1. Percent recovery of aflatoxin and zearalenone on neat spikes:85%~115%
2. Naturally contaminated material:±2 standard deviations from the established mean
3. %RSD<10%

Special notes for column use:

à The packing in the columns may shift or settle during the shipping process. If this occurs, before using the column, push the frit firmly onto the packing material using a blunt object such as an unsharpened wooden pencil.

à After transferring the sample into the culture tube, place the column firmly into the top portion of the tube. You may tilt thetube slightly to wet the sides of the culture tube with the sample extract. This makes it easier to push the column into the tube.

à PriboFast^®columns are designed for single use only. Any improper use or reuse of the columns may affect the reliability of the results.

à Culture tubes used for most PriboFast^® columns are 15 mm X 85 mm.
