Scope of Application

This   product  contains   unique  high-sensitivity   reagents  and  is  used  together  with   Pribolab®Handheld  ATP Fluorescence  Detector.  It  can  be  used  to  detect  bacteria  on  the  surface  of  objects  and  the  total  ATP  activity contained  in food  residues.  It  is  suitable for  rapid  and  real-time  detection of  microorganisms  in food, such as tableware, food processing utensils, workbenches, catering, medical work platforms, etc.

Test Principle

Since all biological living cells contain a constant amount of ATP, the ATP content can clearly indicate the amount of microorganisms and other active biological residues in the sample. Through the luminescent reaction between luciferase and ATP,  human cells,  bacteria, food  residues,  etc. can  be detected. The  reaction  result  is obtained within  15  seconds, and the ATP  instrument  quantifies  it  in digital form,  providing  a  quick and comprehensive reference for the cleaning test result.

Composition

Do not freeze the product.

1.      Surface ATP hygiene management swabs

2.      Instruction manual

Notices Before Use

l Open the test tube and remove the swab for sampling. The sampling area is approximately 10 cmx10 cm. Smear as much of the surface to be tested by the swab.

l Do not touch the swab or test stick.

l After the  sample  in the  swab  reacts with the  solution,  it  needs  to  be  placed  in  a  Pribolab®Handheld  ATP Fluorescence Detector and read the result within 1 minute.

l The product is safe to test on food surface.

l Note: Please keep away from light for storage.

Detection Procedures

1.      Preparation: Take  the  swab out of the  refrigerator  and  let  it  return  to  room  temperature for about  10-20 minutes. Hold the top of the sampling stick and take out the swab (the product is already wet)( Figure 1).

2.     Sampling: Hold a swab and smear the area to be tested. When sampling, the swab should form an angle of 30° with the surface to be tested, so that the sampling head is close to the surface. Please smear in a "Z" pattern in one direction, then sample in the opposite direction as the picture shown. The application area is about 10 cm

x 10 cm. During the smearing process, please rotate the cotton swab so that the cotton head is in full contact with the surface. Be careful not to touch the sampling head and the surface with your hands( Figure 2).

3.      Detection:Insert the swab into the tube and snap off the suction valve. Gently squeeze the bulb twice to squeeze out the liquid in the bulb. Shake gently two to three times to allow the reagent to fully contact the swab (as shown)( Figure 3-5) .

4.      Result Interpretation: Place the entire tube into the ATP Fluorescence Detector, cap tightly, and click Test”.

Note: Please complete the operation time of steps 3 and 4 within 1 minute, and the time of each operation should be as consistent as possible( Figure 6).

Precautions

Please strictly abide by the laboratory specifications to ensure the reliability of the experimental results.

l Sampling swabs should be in full contact with the surface to ensure sampling efficiency.

l Please apply evenly and consistently every time.

l Sufficient sampling area should be ensured for non-flat surfaces.

l Make sure that the product is within the shelf life at the time of testing and stored in a refrigerator at 2-8.

l Do not touch the inner surface of the test swab or the surface to be tested, otherwise it will contaminate the test.

l Store away from light and store on aluminum film.

Validity and Storage Conditions

Avoid direct sunlight and store at 2 ~ 8 .
